Rabbi Sara Sapadin was ordained as a rabbi from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 2007. During her time there, she completed a chaplaincy program at New York Presbyterian Hospital and served congregations in a variety of interesting places; some more remote, like Kent, OH and Woodstock, VT, and others less so, like Cincinnati and New York City. She comes to Temple Israel by way of Temple Beth-El of Great Neck, where she spent two years serving as their Assistant Rabbi and Rabbinic Intern. Rabbi Sapadin graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 2000 with a B.A. in Literature. A West Coast transplant, she hails from San Diego, where most of her family still resides. Today, she is a happy resident of Manhattan, where she is joined by her loving husband Danny, sons Ezra and Saul, and dog Dubi.
