Linda Altshuler is the Development Director of Temple Israel and has more than 30 years of experience as a professional leader in the not-for-profit field. Since 1999, she has been the Founding Director of The Hadassah Foundation, which provides grants for social change projects for women and girls in Israel and in the United States Jewish community. Prior to that she served as Director of Development for Hillels of New York and Executive Director of The Barnum Museum in Connecticut and of The B'nai B’rith Klutznick Museum in Washington, DC.
Linda earned a B.A. in Art History from Wheaton College (Massachusetts) and an M.A. in Art History from Case Western Reserve University. Linda was raised in the Reform movement. She was active as a teen in the National Federation of Temple Youth and later served on the faculty of the URJ Kutz Camp and taught in the religious school of The Temple – Tifereth Israel in Cleveland.
She is married to David Altshuler, and she has two grown children.
