Camp Chaverim - Located at the Early Childhood Learning Center at Temple Israel, we offer a unique, nurturing and creative program for children 2.6* through 5 years of age. Skilled and caring teachers facilitate an outstanding program in our air-conditioned facility. Our summer program includes arts and crafts, sensory experiences, cooking, free play, music and movement, water and sprinkler play, and outdoor activities. Children will also participate in weekly Shabbat celebrations, and special events such as “Purim in the Summer” “Teddy Bear Picnic”, “Pizza Day” and “Pajama Day”.  Groups III through V will enjoy a different surprise “specialist” each week which may include Art Farm, Mad Science, Yoga, and many others. Four and five year olds will visit Central Park weekly.

Registration / Enrollment

Temple Israel’s ECLC Camp program, Camp Chaverim, is open to the community at large. Enrollment will first be open to currently enrolled ECLC families (2009-2010), incoming ECLC families (2010-2011) and Synagogue members through December 2009. After this date registration will open to the larger community. In the case of over-registration, children will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
